Robert A. Head, M.D., F.A.A.P

Dr. Head received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
Loyola in New Orleans in 1969. He received his Doctor of Medicine in
1973 from the University of Mississippi and completed his pediatric
internship and residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine
- The Children's Hospital of Alabama in 1976. He is Board Certified in
pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics. He moved to Dothan in July 1976, to
establish Southeastern Pediatric Associates.
Dr. Head has been married to Joan since 1971 and has one daughter,
Jamie, who is married and living in Virginia where she and her husband
Todd are practicing law. Dr. Head received the Master Pediatrician Award
from the Children's Hospital of Alabama in 2000. He remains on the
active staff and serves on various committees at both Dothan hospitals.
He attends St. Columbia Catholic Church and is interested in golf,
tennis, water sports and astronomy.

Ted A. Williams, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Williams is a native of Headland, Alabama. He received a Bachelor of
Science degree from Auburn University in 1970 and graduated from the
University of Alabama School of Medicine in January 1974. Dr. Williams
completed a pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital of Alabama in
Birmingham where he served as Chief Resident in 1976. He is Board
Certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Since moving to Dothan and
joining Southeastern Pediatrics, he has been active in both community
and medical affairs serving as President of the Dothan Houston County
Rotary Club (Paul Harris Fellow) and the Wiregrass Museum of Art.
Dr. Williams was a founding Board member of the Southeast Alabama Child
Advocacy Center. He has served as Chief of Staff at Flowers Hospital. He
was President of the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of
Pediatrics from 1986 to 1989 and was a member of the National Nominating
Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics from 1990 to 1992. He
was presented the Master Pediatrician Award by the Children's Hospital
of Alabama in 1991. Dr. Williams has been married to Malissa since 1971
and has one daughter, Andrea. His hobbies include golf, watching his
daughter play sports, and collecting fine wines.

Craig B. Adams, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Adams is a native of Webb, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Art
degree from Huntingdon College in 1989. He received his Doctor of
Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1993. Dr.
Adams completed his pediatric residency at the Medical University of
South Carolina where he served as Chief Resident in 1996. He is Board
Certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Since moving back to Dothan 1996, Dr. Adams has remained active in the
community and his local Church. He has served on several local charity
boards including Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center and has served
as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics of both local hospitals.
Dr. Adams is married to Luci and has two sons, Tyler and Davis. His
hobbies include gardening, golf, and triathlon competition.

Claude T. Ashley, Jr., M.D. Ph.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Ashley is a native of Donalsonville, Georgia. He completed his
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry, and has his
Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia,
1982 to 1988. He obtained a combined M.D./Ph.D. at Emory University
School of Medicine; his Doctor of Philosophy degree was in Genetics and
Molecular Biology. Internship and residency training in pediatrics were
also at Emory University from 1995 to 1998. Dr. Ashley remained at Emory
University where he served as the Assistant Program Director (Chief
Resident) of Pediatrics for one year.
He is Board Certified in pediatrics by the
American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. He joined Southeastern Pediatrics in 1999 where he is now a
full partner. Dr. Ashley is married to Kelly M. Ashley who is a
pediatric nurse practitioner. He has two sons, Jude and Jake
who continue to educate him daily regarding the
challenges and joys of rearing children. Dr. Ashley enjoys hunting,
working on his farm, watching Georgia football, and spending time with
his family.

Angela S. Blaxton, M.D.
Dr. Blaxton is a former resident of Dothan. She is a graduate of Auburn
University and attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham for
medical school.
She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at The
Children's Hospital of Alabama where she received numerous
accommodations for excellence in patient care.
Dr. Blaxton and her husband Ben have two sons Perry and Paul, and a
daughter Anne Marie. They enjoy swimming, outdoor grilling and are
active participants in the church and community.

Sarah Germanson, M.D.
Dr. Germanson is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She received a
Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University and earned her Doctor
of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
She completed her pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital of
Alabama in Birmingham where she received numerous awards during her
training for her devotion to caring for children and their families.
Dr. Germanson has always been an active member of her church and
community. She and her husband Matt have been married since 1996 and
have two sons Samuel and Tucker. They enjoy dancing, animals and travel.

Lauren K. McAllister, M.D.,
F.A.A.P.
Dr. McAllister is a Birmingham native. She completed her undergraduate
training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham majoring in biology
/ chemistry / art. Dr. McAllister completed her medical training at the
University of Alabama School of Medicine and pediatric residency at The
Children's Hospital of Alabama.
Dr. McAllister's interests are in pediatric cardiology, gastroenterology
and adolescent medicine. She is married to Scott, a Dothan native,
who is an oncologist. They have 2 children, John Michael and Molly.
Her interests outside of medicine include baseball with her son,
gymnastics and dance with her daughter, swimming, sewing, and painting.
Dr. McAllister is Board Certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.

John E. Searcy M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Searcy is a graduate of the University Of Alabama School Of
Medicine. He completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital
Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976. He established a private
practice in Cincinnati and served as Assistant Professor Of Pediatrics
at CHMC until1988. During this time Dr. Searcy acted as senior partner
in an eight-physician pediatric practice and managed a ten-physician
consulting service for high-risk newborns.
Dr. Searcy returned to Alabama in 1988 and joined in practice with
Southeastern Pediatric Associates, P.A. In 1992 Dr. Searcy accepted a
position with The Alabama Medicaid Agency as Medical Director where he
continued with night and weekend coverage for a local pediatric group.
After 5 years with the Alabama Medicaid Agency Dr. Searcy relocated to
Dothan and is in practice with his daughter, Dr. Angela Blaxton, at
Southeastern Pediatric Associates, P.A. Dr. Searcy has three children, a
daughter who is a practicing pediatrician at Southeastern Pediatric
Associates, P.A., a son who is an attorney in Auburn, and a daughter who
is a public school teacher in Dothan. Dr. Searcy is married and has five grandchildren. He serves on medical mission teams to
South America each year. He enjoys water skiing and playing on the lake. |
